Convex lenses overview
Convex lenses are optical elements designed to converge or focus light. Depending on geometry, they are optimized for laser beam focusing, light collimation, or imaging applications.
PCX (Plano-Convex) lenses are commonly used for focusing collimated beams, DCX (Double-Convex, also know as bi-convex) lenses are suited for finite conjugate imaging, cylindrical lenses focus light in one dimension only, and positive meniscus lenses help reduce spherical aberration in converging systems.
